Guar Gum
Guar gum is a natural thickening, stabilizing, and emulsifying agent derived from the seeds of the guar plant (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba), commonly grown in India. It is a water-soluble polysaccharide primarily composed of galactomannan and is widely used in food, pharmaceutical, textile, paper, and oil industries. In food products, guar gum improves texture, shelf life, and consistency, often found in items like ice cream, sauces, and gluten-free baked goods. It is valued for its high viscosity even at low concentrations and is also used in hydraulic fracturing in the oil industry due to its gelling properties. Guar gum is considered safe for consumption and is often used as a dietary fiber supplement as well
